Dr. Aaliya Shaikh completed her MBBS with Distinction from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (Sion Hospital), Mumbai and then pursued her MD in Psychiatry from King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital and Seth GS Medical College — one of India's top-ranked medical institutions.

National Centre for Drug De-addiction
KEM Hospital is a National Centre of Excellence for Drug De-addiction under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Dr. Aaliya's training there gave her deep expertise in substance use disorders — making her one of very few psychiatrists in the region who can address mental health and addiction simultaneously.

Dr. Aaliya is formally certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute, Philadelphia, USA — founded by Dr. Aaron T. Beck and considered the gold standard in CBT training globally. This allows her to combine psychiatric treatment with structured, evidence-based psychotherapy for lasting results.

She has worked in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai — giving her nuanced, age-sensitive expertise in managing ADHD, school anxiety, behavioural disorders, emotional dysregulation, and family dynamics in younger patients.
